Sorry I haven't posted anything this week I've been otherwise occupied, mainly I've had a friend over and didn't really feel like putting anything up, but i am making sure to get something in today (NWF's, 6 weeks and running woot!) Here is a new chapter, hope u like it, and I am going to try and post at least twice this upcoming week (Not including the NWF).

5. July 26th, 2140

The sun was rising in Grey City, of course you couldn't really tell due to the grey clouds covering the city and the fod that filled the streets. vendors were setting up shops, homeless people were being ushered out of sight by the police and a tall figure in black was looming in the shadows of The Dom. His name was Mr. Ellister, he was a Zombi. He watched as a car pulled up with a tall broad man, who he recognized as code name: Bass Clef, driving, one of his subordinates and James Rojo riding in the back. His job was to watch, just to watch. He watched as a Zombi, Code Name: Treble Clef, greeted them and led the way inside, knocking three times and saying something with the person who would open the door. He had the location of Rojo, so his job was done, now he had to report it. Of course he also knew to be on the lookout for Her. He knew She was after Rojo as well, her late husband had been very close to this human, and she wanted him for her own plans, what they were he didn't know. Suddenly he felt something against his back, a knife? a gun? "Hello Ellister" a female voice said, he knew who it was before he even heard her voice. "Hello Val, how are you?" He said as he reached into his pocket. "Ah ah ah, I don''t think so, hands out of your pockets, I'm not dumb, you're hear finding out about Rojo, of course you're armed. now, takes your decaying hands out of your pockets slowly and give them to me." He did as he was told, he tooks his hands out of his pockets and using his left hand he detached his right hand, and then his right hand helped his left. Val took his hands and threw them to the ground, stepping on them.
"Now, we both know why you're here, but I can't let you just leave and tell Omino where Rojo is, I need him. He has something of mine, and I want it back."
"So what do you propose Val?"
"Well, I'm not going to kill you if that's what your getting at, you are too important to just let you off the hook like that, no I have a better idea." And with that she knocked him out with the butt of her gun, he was out cold instantly. The next thing Ellister saw was Val closing the trunk of her car on him.

James had been in bad spots before, but nothing like this. This was different, it involved people he thought he knew, Jimmy, Brian, Karen, The Colonel, possibly even Bailey and god knows who else. All of these people were in on some sort of surveillance watch over him. Watching him and the Old Timer at the bar, or at home probably. He had helped The Colonel and his people out a dozen times, not that most of them could pay for his services, but he did it because they all seemed like good people. And now he was their prisoner attending the funeral of two people who gave their lives for him, although he didn't really know why. Why was he important? Why was he chosen by Hex Achord? It seemed like everyone knew something that he didn't. But all he could do is go where they told him to, eat when they told him to, and bow his head for these two people who lost their lives. The Colonel said a few words in their honor:
"Today we bury two soldiers, two people who gave their lives for a cause that has been set in motion in the name of the future. May they forever be remembered in time and may you take them with you oh Great Owl. In your name we pray." And everyone spoke in unison, "May the Great Owl keep them and travel with their spirits to the promised land." James wasn't much of a believer in religion, he had heard of a couple and not all of them made too much sense to him, but he had heard of the religion The Colonel believed in. It was called Ahminism, that the world was created and controlled by a group of Animal Spirits who worked together with a human spirit. The Great Owl was a carrier of souls in the afterlife, a few Undead, mostly followers of Ahminism, have said that they met the Great Owl. James was unsure about the whole thing, but he did wear a Mighty Bear pendant, the Mighty Bear was a spirit who was said to give strength in times of need, and James found himself both in times of need and in need of strength most days in Grey City. Today especially it seemed. The bodies were buried in the earth where their souls would begin their journey into the afterlife. James witnessed the two families of these young people grieve over their losses, even The Colonel seemed affected by the loss. But he only took a moments pause before turning to James. "James, I need you to follow Bass and Treble to the Laundry Room, wait for me there." James did as he was told, he had just met the Zombi called Treble Clef and wondered why they were going to meet in a laundry room, but he didn't have time to ask any questions.

"Oh dammit" James said as the door to the Laundry Room opened and there was just a pit in the ground, he knew why they were meeting there now. Bass apologized before throwing James into the hole. He hit the bottom hard, and rolled over onto his back looking up as they put a grate over the opening. "James, I'm sorry but until The Colonel has had a chance to get things straight with you, you're going to have to stay in here, there is some food and water for you, try to eat." It was Bass, he did sound sorry, but why? Wasn't he the guy who just beat the shit out of him to get some information? Who was he? Maybe he was just a soldier following orders? God this is annoying, I don't know anything and yet I seem to be at the center of everything. And to think last week I was fishing out eye balls from the sewers, the case of the missing sights. No, that was bad, the case of the one that swam away... except I caught it... no, uh- The door opened, it was The Colonel.
"Rojo, what they hell have you gotten yourself into?" He sounded like a disapproving father.
"Colonel I was hoping you could tell me! All I know is that I'm sleeping then your guy Bass breaks down my door, asks me about the stones, then some Muerta comes in and starts shooting, I run away and come here, Clover tells me that you gave orders to not let me in, I get knocked out at Rosten's and wake up chained to a bed, get the crap beat outta me and then we take a car ride here and I attend a funeral. Then FINALLY I get thrown in this damn pit, so maybe you could tell me what the hell I've gotten myself into?" If The Colonel was the disappointed father James was definitely the angry son.
"What did Hex Achord tell you about the stones?"
"I already told Bass everything I know, they are some sort of computer chips that all hold pieces of information about that colony they are building on the moon, when they are all plugged into some computer they will open the way to the moon."
"You didn't tell me that last part!" Bass interjected.
"Well, ok, yeah i didn't get a chance to, but I swear that's all I know."
"He's holding out on us." Treble chimed in.
"Please you have to believe me, I didn't even know who the Old Timer was until he told me before he disappeared. He gave me the Sapphire which was in my jacket pocket. I have no other useful information. I swear."
"You were with Hex Achord for a good amount of time and that's all the information you have?" The Colonel asked.
"Well, I mean, yeah. That's all the useful information I have, unless you want various stories that could have been lies, or want to know his favorite color, or about his love and hatred for cats."
The Colonel thought about it, he wanted to believe it, but what could he do? Two people had already lost their lives, who was this Muerta that had it out for them? He was pretty sure that she was after Rojo too. He didn't have too much time to think, just then Clover ran into the room and shouted, "fire! There's a fire! Someone set fire to the Dom! We gotta get out of here!"
